Mr. Tambourine Man -
The Life and Legacy of the Byrds' Gene Clark

Mr. Tambourine Man - The Life and Legacy of the Byrds' Gene Clark

By John Einarson.
The one and only biography about Gene Clark. Not his music, but his life. It follows his life from his birth in Tipton 1944 until he died in Sherman Oaks 1991. Based on interviews with his family and friends. It's so thick that I still haven't finished it.
John Einarson's website.

8-track tape!
No Other

8-track tape - No Other

This is probably my strangest Gene Clark item. It's actually an 8-track tape, and it's still sealed. It's probably from 1974.

Cassette Tape:
Firebyrd

Cassette Tape - Firebyrd

It's still sealed...

The Byrds:
Handbill

The Byrds - Handbill

This is a handbill from a concert in 1988, when Gene Clark toured with his band, and they used the name "The Byrds". Of course this would lead to legal issues with the other Byrds-members, so they didn't do it for very long.

Magazine add:
No Other

Magazine add - No Other

A magazine add for the cd-release of "No Other". From The Classic Rock Magazine.

Cassette Tape:

Cassette tape - So Rebellious a Lover

The cassette version of this outstanding album.

Magazine:
Flip Teen

Magazine - Flip Teen

This is the Flip Teen Magazine of October, 1966.
It contains a very interesting article; "Why Gene Clark left The Byrds". Here you can read Gene's expectations to his solo career. It's a short interview but you can sense his hopes for the future. Did he achieve what he was hoping for? I think he did.
